| Project Description | Reaching Hand runs a shelter home in Bangalore called "New Home" for the most vulnerable children, especially for girls from disturbed family backgrounds. Currently we have accommodated 50 girls in our facility. We provide quality education through the school - Light House International Academy. We strive to create equal opportunity for all of our underprivileged children so that they lead a dignified life no matter how bad their past life was! The objective of New Home and Light House International Academy is to reduce the suffering of the vulnerable by providing them the necessary support, protection, nutritious food, health care and quality education along with life skills in a very caring environment so that they can become productive and dignified members of our society. |

Additionally, children have also been provided with educational materials such as books, uniforms and stationary supplies to support their studies. Out of 160 students. 50 Vulnerable and underprivileged children have been provided with safe shelter, nutritious food, clothing and quality education. 110 underprivileged students who reside from nearby villages also have access to quality education. |
Reaching Hand is a registered Charitable Trust started in 1996 in Bangalore to work with underprivileged children, vulnerable youths & disadvantaged women.
