MY APPEAL

I have been working with REACHING HAND for the past several years and I have been privileged to participate in the marathon “TCS World 10K Run” every year. This marathon helps me to see the needs of the community from a different perspective. Marathon makes a way for everyone to contribute for a cause once a year.

Every year the marathon creates opportunities for the civil societies to respond to the needs of the society. As NGO being in the frontline to address the needs of the society, the marathon (“TCS World 10K Run”) gives opportunity to the well-wishers to contribute and the NGO to raise funds.

I am participating in the upcoming marathon in Bangalore in 2025, for the causes set by the organization.

I am bringing an appeal before you for “New Home” a project of REACHING HAND, provides shelter, food, clothing, and quality education for 50 most vulnerable girls aged between six and sixteen. You have a golden opportunity to give back to the society.

Your contribution will have tax benefit under 80G tax exemption certificate by the NGO. Your thoughtful consideration will have a positive impact in a child’s life. Little drops of water make the mighty ocean. Along with the above, you have an opportunity to support the educational needs of the children at Lighthouse International Academy, a school project of REACHING HAND to education the children at home and in the neighborhood. Your kind help is highly appreciated.

RAISING FUNDS FOR

Reaching Hand
Reaching Hand is a registered Charitable Trust started in 1996 in Bangalore to work with underprivileged children, vulnerable youths & disadvantaged women. It envisions an empowered future for all by acting as a catalyst for social change. Reaching Hand empowers the vulnerable children, underprivileged youth and marginalized women through its innovative programs, focusing on providing quality education, health care services and skill development training so that they lead a life of self-worth, hope & dignity.

I have been working with REACHING HAND for the past few years. The organisation envisions empowering community globally bringing hope of a better tomorrow. The organisation gives me opportunity to be part of the community empowerment program where I can put my skills into practice.

I was privileged to be part of the interventions the organisation undertakes.

Following are some of the areas the organisation focusses to uplift the underprivileged:
• “New Home” a project of REACHING HAND, provides shelter, food, clothing, and quality education for 50 most vulnerable girls aged between six and sixteen. The children here experience protection, care, and value in life.
• Lighthouse Academy is a school that exist primarily to cater to the educational needs of the children at the New Home and for the underprivileged children at the neighbourhood.
• Namma Shaale is a project of the organisation that facilitates Government schools with basic infrastructure development by installing STEM labs, Digital panels, and support children with educational supplies. These provisions help the students to study with dignity and enthusiasm. The interventions enable the students to identify their potentials plan their future accordingly.
• Girls Glory is a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) initiative through which toilets are constructed for girls in government schools and sensitizing the girls with menstrual Hygiene Management workshop. This program contributes to the positive mindset.
• Pratishtha is a skill development and placement centre that facilitates skill training along with life skills and employment for vulnerable youths and assist them to find suitable job based on the training.
• Scholarship for the most vulnerable but bright students to pursue their higher studies. Many would drop studies due to poor financial condition of the family otherwise.

A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
