Baale Mane is not only a place where the girls receive our care and protection. It is a loving home for the girls where we try to take care of all their needs. This includes access to good healthcare, nutritious food, as well as a hygienic and well-maintained living space. Our focus is on both their physical and mental fitness so along with access to education, each of the girls has an individual care plan. Our programmes are holistic in their approach and cover not only academic skills but also life skills, girls’ rights, job readiness along with creative expression and a focus on both physical and mental well-being.
Over the last year, we had almost a dozen girls come to Baale Mane. We expect more girls to become part of the Baale Mane family this year as well. So, we are raising funds to provide essentials needed for the care of all the Baale girls and the overall well-being of the home.

Baale Mane is an NGO located in Gopalapura, Bangalore. We provide a safe and happy home, education and holistic development to empower disadvantaged girls from rural communities. Many of the girls have been orphaned, abandoned or subject to violence, abuse, neglect or extreme poverty. The girls stay at the home between the ages of 8 to 18. They attend English or Kannada medium schools, depending on their prior knowledge or schooling experience at the time that they join Baale Mane. We also support the girls after they have finished school and Pre-University College. They are supported through higher education like college or vocational training. Baale Mane continues its support for the first few months of work until the girls are fully independent.
Our goal is to enable the Baale girls to lead self-sustaining lives. We have supported more than a 100 girls in becoming Independent adults. Some of the young women have gone on to become technicians, accountants, teachers, retail workers and even a care manager with another NGO. Some of the young women have also started their own families and are now raising their own children with brighter futures too.
