Baale Mane Trust

Baale Mane is an NGO located in Gopalapura, Bangalore. We provide a safe and happy home, education and holistic development to empower disadvantaged girls from rural communities. Many of the girls have been orphaned, abandoned or subject to violence, abuse, neglect or extreme poverty. The girls stay at the home between the ages of 8 to 18. They attend English or Kannada medium schools, depending on their prior knowledge or schooling experience at the time that they join Baale Mane. We also support the girls after they have finished school and Pre-University College. They are supported through higher education like college or vocational training. Baale Mane continues its support for the first few months of work until the girls are fully independent.
Our goal is to enable the Baale girls to lead self-sustaining lives. We have supported more than a 100 girls in becoming Independent adults. Some of the young women have gone on to become technicians, accountants, teachers, retail workers and even a care manager with another NGO. Some of the young women have also started their own families and are now raising their own children with brighter futures too.
