Help 500 Animals from the streets of Bengaluru receive basic and life saving medical care.
Thousands of animals from the streets of Bangalore are treated for serious injuries and illnesses at CARE every year.
Street animals undergo various hardships on the streets in their quest to just find one meal to survive.
Many of them meet with accidents, fall victim to illnesses, undergo cruelty and many other such distressing situations. They endure a great deal of distress and suffer silently on the streets. CARE provides these animals a second lease of life by providing life saving treatment, nourishing food, shelter until they recover and are ready to go back on the streets.
When an animal is admitted in the trauma facility, emergency treatment is provided followed by necessary diagnostic procedures , after which required treatment is initiated. The animals are housed, fed and treated until they make a full recovery.
The average cost of treating each animal is Rs 3000 and runs up to much more depending on the condition the animal is. The costs are much higher for accident cases requiring orthopedic surgeries, long term treatment for cancers and other critical illnesses.

Charlies Animal Rescue Centre – CARE is an animal shelter established in January 2013 with the aim of providing timely medical aid to injured and ill animals of the street in Bangalore city. We aim to provide life saving veterinary care on par with private veterinary setups to all animals, irrespective of their ownership status.
