Cuddles Foundation is the only NGO in the country that focuses on providing holistic nutritional support to underprivileged children afflicted with cancer. We do this by partnering with government/charity-funded hospitals.
At Cuddles Foundation, we provide children with the right nutrition needed to complete treatment successfully. Caregivers, most of them being daily wage earners, are living with multiple vulnerabilities. With little or no source of income, they are forced to choose between their child's treatment and the next meal for their family, a choice no parent should ever have to make. This affects the child’s daily calorie intake and his/her ability to fight cancer and worsens the family’s financial situation. The chances of abandoning treatment are very high without additional support for the family.
Through the funds raised via TCS World 10K Marathon, we want to support children fighting cancer with nutritious snacks, ration baskets and nutritional supplements since food makes the medicine work, keeps families in treatment, keeps parents’ home, ensures reduced risks to the child and gives better immunity to fight cancer.

| Project Description | The FoodHeals® Program focuses on: 1) Counselling and Diet Planning: The nutritionists assess a child’s nutritional status, plan a diet, and monitor progress. We evaluate side effects that may negatively impact the child’s nutritional status. 2) Food and Supplements Aid: We aid and support the child and family by providing nutritional supplements, hot meals, in-meal supplements like eggs, milkshakes, bananas, etc., and monthly ration bundles for a family of four. 3) Caregiver Support: We also support patient families with the knowledge to make healthier food choices by organising parent support group meetings, videos, and educational talks, and providing induction kits for children with steel utensils for daily use. |
