500000 Raised Goal 5000000

OUR APPEAL

At Love and Acceptance NGO we are dedicated to serv people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities. The NGO employs a four-pronged strategy to enhance the quality of life of beneficiaries.

The first prong of the strategy is to support beneficiaries' participation by providing them with essential medical accessories such as wheelchairs, pressure relief cushions, catheters, transfer aids, orthotics, and breathing aids are crucial for people with spinal cord injuries.

These accessories assist with daily living and help maintain overall health and well-being. Wheelchairs provide mobility and independence, while pressure relief cushions prevent pressure sores. Catheters are required to manage bladder and bowel function, and transfer aids assist with transfers.

Orthotics stabilise joints, and breathing aids may be necessary for respiratory issues. Overall, medical accessories play an essential role in the care of people with spinal cord injuries, enabling individuals to maintain their independence, manage their health, and participate fully in daily life.

The second prong of the strategy is the rehabilitation centre for people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities, which provides rehabilitation services to improve beneficiaries' mobility, functionality, and independence. At the rehab centre we support the rehabilitation process of individuals with disabilities through Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, and Vocational training.

Physiotherapy is vital in restoring physical function and mobility to individuals with disabilities. Physiotherapists use various techniques such as exercise, manual therapy, and electrotherapy to manage and alleviate pain, prevent deformity, and improve movement.

Occupational therapy focuses on improving an individual's ability to perform daily activities, such as self-care, work, and leisure. Occupational therapists work with individuals to develop skills, adapt to their environment, and use assistive devices to promote independence.

Vocational training is essential in enabling individuals with disabilities to achieve economic independence. Through vocational training, individuals can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to secure and maintain employment. This, in turn, can help them lead a fulfilling and productive life.

Overall, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, and Vocational training are essential in promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals with disabilities. These services can improve an individual's overall quality of life by enabling them to achieve greater independence, participate in daily activities, and contribute to society.

The third prong of the strategy is to assist beneficiaries in constructing in-house accessible toilets, which are essential for people with disabilities as they promote urinary tract infection (UTI) protection and smooth functioning of wheelchair users. The construction of accessible toilets aligns with the Government of India's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Considering the limited resources and skills at their disposal many people with disabilities are forced to hardly make their both ends meet. So the fourth prong of the strategy is to offer vocational training to beneficiaries to equip them with skills that enable them to live economically independent lives.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are an important necessity for people with disabilities. They provide a safe and secure environment for people who use wheelchairs or have other mobility impairments to use the restroom independently. These toilets are designed with features such as grab bars, handrails, and non-slip floors to ensure that people with disabilities can use them safely. Accessible toilets promote dignity and independence, which are essential to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Furthermore, accessible toilets help prevent health issues that may arise from inadequate toilet facilities, such as urinary tract infections and constipation. Accessible toilets also enable social participation, allowing people with disabilities to attend events and participate in activities that require the use of a restroom. They are required by law in many countries, and non-compliance can result in legal penalties.

In summary, wheelchair accessible toilets are essential for ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access to public facilities and can live with dignity, safety, and independence. Accessible toilets are an important step towards a more inclusive and accessible society.

Here at L&A we are trying to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities. The organisation's four-pronged strategy could be a model for other organisations seeking to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Surgical options include flap surgery, in which healthy tissue from another part of the body is moved to cover the wound, or skin grafts, in which a piece of skin from another part of the body is used to cover the wound.

constructing in-house accessible toilets for persons with disabilities particularly who can not move without a wheelchair.

Assisting people with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment is an important aspect of promoting inclusion and equality.

Why your should support is so crucial?

When the aspirations and dreams of persons with physical or cognitive impairments interact with the surrounding physical environment and attitudes of people, disability is born. We are trying to solve some of the everyday problems of persons with impairments that restrict their fullest participation.

However, we cannot do this alone. We need your help to make this project a reality. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
