The Ashwini Charitable Trust is a registered NGO, that educates and empowers underprivileged children from the Urban slums around Ulsoor and supports them till they are gainfully employed. Started in 2000, ACT supports 350 children from 2500 families thus raising the quality of life of more than 1000 people in Bangalore slums.
Our 8 interventions work together to build a child and his/her future. We apply Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences to achieve our mission. The MI theory states that all of us have 9 different intelligences and that maximum efficiency and productivity in a person are dependent on whether the person’s job is related to his/her dominant intelligence.
