As we all know, the greater prosperity of the Indian nation is linked with the prosperity of rural India. People in rural India are very much a part of us and still need inspiration, encouragement and infrastructure to overcome obstacles and participate in India's growing economy. Education plays a vital role in reconstructing and empowering rural India. Schools are far from the villages and not easily accessible; poverty encourages parents to keep their children at home or take them to work.
AIM for Seva has a successful model to address the above needs and provide a holistic solution for children in rural India. Students are nurtured and provided access to education through free student homes or chatralayams built near the schools. AIM for Seva has been operating since 2000 and has impacted over 20 million lives. 4,000+ students are educated year after year. More than 80% of our students are employed with reputed organizations or pursuing higher studies. Watching the students grow into independent thinkers, pursue their dreams and contribute to mainstream society is a joy.

Donor framework is simple
It takes us Rs. 36000 to provide complete education and care for one child for one year. The education and care components include the following :
tuition fees, books & notebooks, stationery, uniforms school bags, sports gear, boarding at the chatralayam for 10 months every year, three meals a day and healthcare.

AIM for Seva is a nationally registered charitable trust initiated by Pujyasri Swami Dayananda Saraswati in 2000. The Trust's core focus is on delivering value-based education to rural and tribal children across India, primarily through its flagship program, Chatralayam (Free Student Hostel), which was established in 2001. Chatralayam has been a transformative force in the lives of rural and tribal children, providing comprehensive support near local schools. Students residing in Chatralayams receive an array of amenities: uninterrupted schooling, boarding facilities, clothing, uniforms, after-school tutoring, nutritious meals, extracurricular activities, yoga, sports, healthcare, and mentorship—all provided free of charge.
What began as one Chatralayam accommodating 32 boys has grown significantly; AIM for Seva now operates in 94 locations spanning from Karnaprayag to Kanyakumari and Amreli to Bardhaman, benefiting over 4,000 students from 2,700 villages annually.
Over time, AIM for Seva has expanded its initiatives beyond hostels to encompass educational institutions, healthcare facilities, community development projects, residential facilities for adult males with developmental disabilities, and sustainable living programs. These efforts aim to extend support to a broader network of underprivileged communities. Presently, the organization manages 190 projects across 17 states.
Throughout the past two decades, AIM for Seva has positively impacted the lives of over 20 million individuals in India. Despite this significant reach, the organization remains committed to expanding its reach to touch the lives of many more.
