Amar Seva Sangam is a non-profit organization that has been working towards empowering physically challenged individuals to lead independent lives since 1981. They offer rehabilitation, education, training and employment opportunities through institution-based and village-based initiatives. Due to their outstanding services, the organization has received several awards from the State and Central Governments, as well as other reputed national and international institutions.
As part of their initiative, they offer inclusive education through Siva Saraswathy Vidyalaya on their campus. They provide quality education to more than 59 children with disabilities and 667 other children from Nursery to 12th Standards at an affordable cost, keeping in mind their rural and economic background.
To meet the increasing cost of education, Amar Seva Sangam is proposing to raise funds through participation in the TCS Bangalore 10K Run on 27th April 2025. They have been participating in this run since its inception in 2014. Over 22 physically challenged individuals participate in the Disabled Category Run for 4 kms to support the Inclusive Education for Students with Disabilities program.

| Project Description | Amar Seva Sangam, we provide a complete inclusive solution for education of Children with Special Needs. We have a regular school which is established to include and mainstream children with disabilities and special needs with infrastructure enabled with full accessibility. Siva Saraswathi Vidyalaya (started in 1981) at Amar Seva Sangam has a Nursery School, Primary School, and Higher Secondary School with more than 679 students, and offers quality education from Nursery to 12th standard to students whose parents are from low/middle-income groups. |
| impact | So far, 5376 students have completed their education in our school system. Out of this 596 students are differently abled. Of the differently abled students many of them are working in the corporate sector besides pursuing livelihood initiatives. |
Amar Seva Sangam (ASSA) is a premier Organization in the field of disability management focusing on rural areas across all ages and all disabilities, located in Ayikudy Village, Tenkasi District. Its approach is to establish a centralized resource center in the development of physically and mentally challenged. In the last 39 years ASSA has very successfully implemented several bold and innovative programs and received several State, National, International and other awards. ASSA caters to over 16,000 Persons with Disabilities in over 900 villages in the districts of Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Virudhunagar by way of rehabilitation, education, employment and empowerment to enable the PwDs become economically productive citizens and join the mainstream society.
