My Angel Academy* (MAA) aspires to have a positive impact on society and to return the underprivileged children (Angels) their childhood through sports and other extra-curricular activities.
THE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES AT ‘MY ANGELS ACADEMY'
• Uplifting children out of a vicious cycle of poverty by opening alternate avenues for a prosperous life.
• Coaching underprivileged youth in sports – especially in Football.
• Tutoring and assisting in academics. English speaking ; Employability soft skills.
• Organizing training in activities including yoga, meditation, painting, Bharatanatyam classical dance, and theatre.
• Keeping drug abuse, begging, violence, robbery, the risk of HIV/AIDS and other social vices in check at slums by imparting holistic education and moral values. Regular meditation is done by our students.
Currently they operate out in Delhi (Vikaspuri area) and in Odisha (Sambalpur) positively carving out the lives of 300+ underprivileged children.
The founder and the academy has been facilitated at various levels :
- Facilitated by the honorable President of India in Y-2021
- Recipient of best sports NGO from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in Y-2022
Angels' accomplishment career-wise:
- 4 Angel girls from Delhi represented Nationals Football
- 6 Angel girls from Odisha represented Odisha National. One of the girl has cleared the B ED exam and is now a teacher in a private school.
- One of the Angel girls' is now a yoga trainer and has cleared D license coach exam; she works in My Angels Academy as a coach, assisting in accounting for Delhi and Odisha, and as a teacher.
- 7 Angel boys are now certified Referees (Football Delhi)
- One of the Angel boy has now become a national referee
Currently My Angels academy supports 300+ underprivileged children with items like sports equipment, books, stationery, nutrition, clothes, jerseys, conveyance, medical and other day to day needs. Every month substantial amount is required to carry out these activities.

As a 13-year-old boy, Sylvester, founder of ‘My Angels Academy’ more than three decades ago, comprehended the true meaning of success and happiness, which lies not with one but with all. He embarked on a transformational journey through love and football, giving “ANGELS” to us. It is a phenomenal story of transforming these children who were rag-pickers, petty thieves, drug addicts, and even religious fundamentalists into “Angels “of dignity, honesty, and respect.
Today, My Angels Academy has won accolades from the Hon. President of India, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind on 16th Feb. 2021, Honoured by KBC. (Kaun Banega Crorepati) in January 2021, the Superintendent of Tihar Jail, FICCI India Sports Awards 11th December 2019 My Angels Academy received Best NGO Promoting Sports. MAA alums boast several AIFA-certified coaches, referees, certified Yoga trainers, classical Dance teachers, painters, and professional football players. Our stories run from being rag-picker to the banker, house-help to the national-level player, and delinquency to productive engagement. We have helped delinquent children to become drug-free and employable youths.
