Sanman Society is a citizen volunteer group that supports and assists families and patients for patients battling debilitating illnesses.
Sanman Society provides for the medical assistance and support to needy poor patients in particular children suffering from cancer. The support is largely for the medicines, diagnostic procedures and to a limited extent treatment. A large number of patients do not have the financial ability to sustain their treatments. They manage to reach out to hospitals and initiate the treatment however, they have to abandon this due to paucity of funds. Several schemes are available to fund the treatment, these however are not within the reach of all the underprivileged.
Last financial Year we supported over 2700 child patients, for buying medicines, blood and in undergoing PET CT scan and radiation procedures.

Sanman is a growing network of individuals and professionals in Bangalore who offer their services voluntarily to provide support and help to the existing network of palliative care organizations and also to assist families and patients for curative, palliative and end-of-life care. This is a free, voluntary service. Sanman is based in Bangalore.
A main focus area for Sanman is palliative care which is the holistic care given to patients facing a life limiting disease or a chronic debilitating illness and improving their quality of life. It is about adding life to their remaining days and eventually allowing a good, peaceful, and dignified natural death. Sanman also provides support to the patients’ families, who are the primary caregivers.
