Samvada has been carrying out valuable service by educating and empowering socially and economically disadvantaged young people to build their lives with dignity and hope. This charitable trust has established youth resource centers in Bangalore, Kolar, Chitradurga, Mangalore, and Gulbarga. Through their Baduku Livelihood Learning Programme, Samvada facilitates 200 young people each year to stay and study in their Banjarapalya campus (near Tatguni) to become skilled professionals for a nominal fee (those who can afford pay Rs. 1000 per month while others are provided training with accommodation and food with the understanding that they will pay after they get their jobs).
Baduku Centre for Livelihoods Learning addresses the need for meaningful, rewarding, and dignified livelihoods for young people from socially excluded communities. More than 70% of students who have graduated from Baduku are either placed or are pursuing higher studies in the same field.
This fundraiser will benefit socially and economically disadvantaged young people to build their lives with dignity and hope.

Founded in 1986 as part of the SMILE initiative, Samvada has evolved into a dynamic force in Karnataka's social landscape. Stemming from the desire to bridge the gap between privileged urban youth and marginalized communities, the organization has consistently adapted its approach to meet the changing needs of society. Over its more than three-decade journey, Samvada has transitioned from focusing on exposures and discussions to establishing Youth Resource Centres and, in 2007, creating the innovative Baduku Centre for Livelihood Learning. This unique institution aims to redefine professions and livelihoods by addressing emerging social and ecological challenges. With a pan Karnataka presence since 2012, Samvada has expanded its footprint, advocating for youth rights, promoting youth work as a profession, and contributing to transformative research. The organization's commitment to social justice and its dedication to shaping meaningful livelihoods underscore its significance in empowering the youth for positive change.
