C. Krishniah Chetty Foundation: Empowering Futures, Enriching Communities
With a legacy spanning over 155 years, the C. Krishniah Chetty Group is not only a symbol of excellence but also a beacon of social responsibility. Through the C. Krishniah Chetty Foundation, the group is dedicated to giving back to society through impactful initiatives that go beyond financial contributions. Their work touches the lives of children—especially girls—civil society organizations, skilled craftsmen, and even public welfare initiatives such as supporting the Bengaluru city police with 28 staff members assisting in traffic regulation.
Transforming Education: Scholarship Program for Great Young Minds
Education lies at the heart of the Foundation’s mission. Through the "Scholarship Program for Great Young Minds", the Foundation is fostering the dreams of over 4,000 girls and 1,000 boys across 120 schools in Bengaluru. With the inspiring theme, "Grow with Aspiration and Be an Inspiration," the program supports the ambitions of children to become future doctors, scientists, engineers, IPS and IAS officers, pilots, fashion designers, and more. This initiative reflects a profound commitment to empowering the next generation and nurturing a sense of social responsibility.
Over the past few years, the Foundation has positively impacted more than 3,000 students, with a steadfast commitment to reaching even more young minds in the years ahead.
Building Knowledge: School Libraries Initiative
To further support learning, the Foundation is also establishing libraries in these schools, fostering a culture of curiosity and knowledge. These libraries provide students with access to a diverse range of books, encouraging a lifelong love for reading and continuous learning.
Expanding Horizons: Educational Excursions to SECMOL
As part of its vision to provide holistic education, the Foundation offers a unique opportunity for deserving students from both government and private schools to embark on transformative educational journeys. One such initiative is an annual visit to SECMOL (Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh), an institution founded by Dr. Sonam Wangchuk.
Each year, 10 students and 2 teachers participate in this enriching 10-day expedition, where they explore new environments, engage in experiential learning, and broaden their horizons. This immersive program not only deepens their understanding but also inspires them to aspire higher and contribute meaningfully to society.
A Commitment to Lasting Change
The C. Krishniah Chetty Foundation continues to champion social causes that create lasting change. By investing in education, empowering young minds, and supporting public welfare, the Foundation remains deeply committed to building a better and more inclusive future for all.
