I am running to raise funds for Neonates Foundation of India because I believe every newborn deserves a chance to live—regardless of where they are born or their family’s financial situation. The reality is heartbreaking: 3.5 million babies are born prematurely in India every year, and nearly 40% don’t make it past their first day simply because they don’t have access to the right medical care. When I first learned about this, I couldn’t stop thinking about how unfair it is—how so many tiny lives are lost, not because they couldn’t be saved, but because help didn’t reach them in time.
For families struggling to make ends meet, the cost of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is overwhelming, often leaving them with no choice but to hope for a miracle. Neonates Foundation of India steps in to provide that miracle—offering life-saving care to premature babies who would otherwise be left helpless.
Running for this cause is deeply personal to me. I know what it feels like to be in a situation where health challenges seem insurmountable. When I suffered from anxiety and loneliness at a young age, running became my way of taking control—of pushing past limitations. Now, I run not just for myself, but for those who can’t—for the newborns fighting for their first breath and for the parents who just need a little hope.
Every step I take is a step toward saving a life. Together, we can make sure no baby loses their future because of a price tag. Let’s run, raise funds, and give these tiny warriors the fighting chance they deserve. 💙
Running for a Cause, Running for Change
Hi, I’m Prasad Chopade. My journey has been driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and a deep desire to make an impact. I started my career tackling data collection challenges for global warming by sending balloons into space. Later, I transitioned into operations, addressing complex supply chain problems in healthcare. Now, I thrive on building solutions that create meaningful change.
My running journey began on a deeply personal note—I struggled with loneliness and anxieties. Instead of letting it hold me back, I laced up my shoes and started running. Over time, it not only helped me curb my condition but also became a source of strength, discipline, and motivation. Running for a cause gives me an even bigger purpose—it connects me with people who share the same vision of making a difference.
This year, I’m running the TCS 10K to support a cause that truly matters. Every step counts, and together, we can make an impact. Your support fuels my run, not just for my health but for a larger purpose. Let’s run, give, and change lives together!
A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
