I am fundraising for educational activities run by Youth for Seva (YFS), mainly for NMMS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship) program. It is a central government funded program for 8th standard students studying in government and aided schools. Students get to write an exam, and if they clear it, they will receive Rs. 12000 per year, for next 4 years. NMMS program of YFS train the students, teachers, provide study materials, thus enable them to pass the exam.
I am doing this because I am also from a government school from rural part of Karnataka, studied in Kannada medium. I have lived the life those kids who find it challenging to get quality education and sometimes drops out due to financial difficulties.
I am personally involved in this program where I teach students, conduct online classes over weekends, and train government school teachers for the same. I also conduct career guidance classes as part of YFS's other initiatives. I am also taking these programs to my native and ensure the benefits reach the needy students.

I’m a professional working with a private defence firm for almost a decade now. Throughout the journey, I’ve been part of CSR activities and also volunteered for NGOs outside the organisation, mainly in education and environment activities. I teach students, train teachers, organise events and advocate quality education and sustainable environment.
