This fundraiser is for support to Parivaar's several humanitarian initiatives serving the most impoverished and vulnerable children and communities. Shri Vinayak Lohani, the founder of Parivaar is a recipient of the 2025 Padma Shri for his outstanding service to humanity.

Parivaar Education Society
Parivaar was founded in 2003 in West Bengal by Shri Vinayak Lohani (Distinguished Alumnus of both IIT Kharagpur & IIM Calcutta). Awarded the 2011 National Award for Child Welfare, by the Hon. President of India.

West Bengal

In Bengal, Parivaar has 2 residential institutions for children (both boys and girls) from extremely vulnerable and poor backgrounds. With about 2100 children (more than 1000 boys and 1000 girls), these are the largest free residential institutions for children from such backgrounds in West Bengal. These children live in our institutions and also study in our school, and we try to support them till university / skill development courses etc.

Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand

1. Seva Kutirs (Supplementary Education and Nutrition):

These are supplementary education and nutrition centres in remote and highly impoverished tribal and interior villages. More than 55,000 children from poor tribal families are being provided with good quality supplementary education and nutrition in 816 Kutirs in as many villages across 18 districts in Madhya Pradesh and 1 District each in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Children in the age group of 3 to 14 years attend these centres.

2. Residential Institutions in Madhya Pradesh

Four residential institutions running for more than 1300 children from impoverished tribal communities from 9 districts of Madhya Pradesh. These are expected to be scaled year after year.

3. Free Round the Clock Ambulance Service in interior Tribal areas

93 Ambulances operating in tribal areas of 23 districts working 24*7. Since June 2021, when this program was launched, these have served more than 2.8 lakh cases.

4. Vision Restoration Program for the Poor and Vulnerable Elderly:

More than 6 Lakh persons served with general examination, medicines and glasses in more than 5500 eye camps organized in tribal and other rural areas since June 2021, when this program was launched. Out of this, more than 70 thousand persons operated for cataract and other eye ailments and their vision has been fully restored. We have covered 36 districts in MP & 1 district each in Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan under this program.

5. Mobile Medical Clinics in interior tribal areas:

Running 21 Daily Mobile Medical Clinics with doctors in 987 remote and highly impoverished villages of 8 districts, which have treated and provided free medicines to more than 14 lakh persons since June 2021, when this program was launched. Patients with severity are taken to higher medical centres as far as AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Gwalior.

The institutions and projects of Parivaar are among the largest in India, serving lakhs of beneficiaries from destitute and improverished communities.

Parivaar has spent about Rs 215 Crores on all its programs in last 3 FYs. Parivaar has a workforce of about 3800 persons called Sevavratees.
