Hello!
I have been running since 2006 but this is the first time I am going to be running not just for myself but for an organisation I really love and believe in - One All
'One All' uses the sport of Ultimate frisbee to build life skills amongst youth across many communities. I have had the fortune of seeing them at work with the many tribes of Gudalur.
I have known Varsha and team for a while now. We have interacted in many capacities - as competitors in an Ultimate frisbee tournament, as partners for developing S4D courses for Azim Premji University, as field coordinators for Azim Premji University students to visit Gudalur and for 'One All' fellows to visit Azim Premji University campus.
So I can say that I have seen them donning many hats and I am privileged to call them my friends. The work they do is fantastic and is so meaningful for everyone involved. I have personally learnt so much from the people of this organisation.
This endeavour is not just a fund raiser but a way (I hope) for more of my friends to get to know 'One All'. it could start with a donation but I hope it leads to a deeper engagement. So I urge my friends, family, students to step forward to donate anything. No amount is too much or too little. Any contribution would really mean a lot.
Thanks!
I have been a runner since 2006 and have been a part of the running movement in India through an organisation called "Runners for Life - RFL". These days I teach sports and fitness based courses and I am involved in creating a good sports culture at Azim Premji University. I like the idea of 'play' and strive to make sports and sports education accessible to everyone.
A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
