MY APPEAL

Thousands of students risk dropping out after Class 8 due to financial constraints. The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) by the Government of India provides ₹12,000 per year for four years (Class 9–12) to students who qualify the NMMS Exam. However, many scholarships go unused due to a lack of resources and guidance to prepare for the exam.

Youth for Seva (YFS) is bridging this gap! Last year, with the support of 3,000+ volunteers, we helped 2,410 students secure this life-changing scholarship.

✔ Provide study materials, including books and practice papers
✔ Conduct mock tests to boost confidence and exam readiness

Youth For Seva

Youth for Seva (YFS) is a nationwide volunteering movement dedicated to inspiring youth to
serve the community through meaningful opportunities. With a focus on education, health,
environment, and livelihood, YFS has positively impacted 2.8 million beneficiaries across 11
states over the past 16 years. Engaging over 170,000 volunteers, YFS fosters a culture of
service and social responsibility. Recognized for its exceptional community service, YFS
received the prestigious Karnataka Rajyotsava Award in November 2020. YFS's philosophy is
rooted in the traditional Bharatiya concepts of 'Runa' (The Debt) and 'Yajna' (The Sacrifice),
emphasizing that individual achievements are not solely the result of personal efforts but are
supported by contributions from parents, teachers, friends, and even unknown others. This
philosophy drives YFS's mission to give back to society and create a positive impact.
