MY APPEAL

My name is Sunil Kumar, like every year this year too I will be participating in the TCS World 10K run on 27th April 2025 and will be fundraising for NGOs. Running is my passion and so is fundraising. The satisfaction and happiness that we get by helping others is priceless. I am so happy that TCSW10K has given me a wonderful opportunity to run and a platform to fund raise.

MY APPEAL
The Association of People with Disability (APD), is an NGO that’s transforming the lives of underprivileged people with disability since 1959. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, we run extensive programs in rural and urban Karnataka to enable, equip and empower children and adults with a range of disabilities including locomotor, spinal cord injury, speech and hearing, cerebral palsy, and to some extent, mental issues. Till date, we have impacted 1 Million+ lives of people with disabilities.

So please come and join hands with me in supporting and contributing to the cause of The Association of People with Disability (APD). No one has become poor by giving. There is no other immense pleasure one can obtain by giving away to charity. Every donation counts, and your contribution would help in making a real difference in the lives of Children, Youth and PwDs in our society.

The Association of People with Disability (APD) is a voluntary registered society, striving ceaselessly in the field of disability for over sixty three years, aiming to empower persons with disabilities to become active contributors in the society. We run extensive programs in rural and urban Karnataka to enable, equip and empower children and adults with a range of disabilities including locomotor, spinal cord injury, speech and hearing, cerebral palsy, and to some extent, mental issues. Till date, we have impacted 1 Million+ lives of people with disability. APD has various institutional and community based services for providing education, therapy, and vocational training and employment services for persons with disability from both rural and urban areas, those belonging to poor socio-economic background as priority. My association with The Association of People with Disability has been for over a period of 6 years.

Since I was passionate to serve the differently abled people and also impressed with the work that the organization was involved in, especially among the children with disability and also in the area of disability, I volunteered my services during the initial period but later joined APD as a full time staff and have been placed as Director – Marketing & Communications since beginning of 2020. I feel it is a great privilege and a sense of satisfaction to be a part of this organization which is serving a very noble cause for the society in large.

I am a keen enthusiastic about Marathon and I am passionate about helping NGOs working in the Disability space
