After a rewarding 35 years of service as the CEO of the National Association for the Blind (NAB) Karnataka, I have decided to dedicate my time and efforts to empowering senior citizens. My journey with NAB allowed me to contribute to the welfare and inclusion of individuals with visual impairments, helping to shape initiatives that improved accessibility, opportunity, and independence for many.
Now, with a deep desire to continue making a positive impact, I have joined Vayah Vikas as an Advisor in 2023. In this new role, I am focusing on the well-being and empowerment of senior citizens, a group that faces unique challenges as they age. My goal is to bring the same passion and experience I’ve accumulated over the years to help enhance the quality of life for older adults, supporting their dignity, independence, and access to essential services.
By leveraging my experience in leadership, advocacy, and program development, I aim to create meaningful change and build a more supportive, inclusive community for seniors, much as I did during my time with NAB. This new chapter is both an exciting and fulfilling opportunity to continue my journey of service and advocacy in a different but equally important area.
