Dear Donor:
As an animal lover, I see pets in homes get fantastic care in most cities in India. Our indies, or what our dogs on the streets are called, the native dogs - while there are several communities taking care of them, when it comes to an illness, an accident, a condition that needs medication, etc., these dogs rarely get support. Charlie's Animal Rescue Center (https://charlies-care.com/) believes in 'no animal left behind.'Rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and other awareness building are their common activities. I have lived in Bangalore for 21 years and have done some little animal welfare work on a small basis - fostering Indie pups and getting them adopted, doing some fundraising, connecting entities to each other when there are synergies and volunteering. In this work, in the past several years, I have seen CARE step up when many others have not been able to handle the animal's need. They've sent their ambulances and done what it takes. On a tour of the facility, the founder Ms. Sudha Narayan fiercely said, nothing but the best for our indies. Don't you agree?
Do join her mission by donating whatever you feel fit. Do visit them, volunteer, give them dog food, medical supplies, your blankets and towels and anything else that animals will benefit from.
Thanks for reading!
