As a Pediatrician and Neonatologist with over 15 years of experience, I've dedicated my life to caring for vulnerable children, especially those born into impoverished families facing dire health challenges.
Every day, I witness the incredible resilience of these little fighters as they bravely battle against all odds. Yet, many are born into circumstances where access to life-saving intensive care is limited. That's where we need your help.
The Neonates Foundation of India, a cause very close to my heart, strives to bridge this gap by providing high-end intensive care to newborns in need. Since its inception, we've already assisted over 70 babies, raising a remarkable 75 lakhs, thanks to the generosity of supporters like you. However, our work is far from over.
Unfortunately, the majority of babies born in India do not have access to the highest level of intensive care. A baby born to a poor and underprivileged family should not be the sole reason for denial of the highest level of intensive care! The mortality of preterm babies in India still stands as one of the highest in the world, and a large majority of preterm survivors will have significant developmental delays if not looked after well in the early phases. This will lead to a substantial financial burden on the families and the Indian exchequer!

I am a doctor looking after very tiny, preterm and sick babies for the last 18 years. I am also struggling with an arthritis called GOUT. This run is taken as a challenge to test myself of my endurance and motivation and also to raise money and awareness to help poor families so that their babies can be looked after in better facilities.
