MY APPEAL

Greetings.I am participating in the TCS10K marathon to be held in April 2024 this year and raising funds on behalf of an NGO. Please support this cause if possible.
Bharat is on the way to becoming a developed nation by economic growth due to its large middle and upper-class population. However, a large section of its population is lagging in basic needs like nutrition, health, and education. If Bharat has to become fully developed, then every child needs a proper education and basic health. Despite government programs like the mid-day meal program, a large section of the children going to government schools (around 8 crore in number) do not get a basic breakfast early in the morning when they go to school. This results in a lack of attendance, poor focus on studies, and sometimes even fainting in schools due to going hungry on an empty stomach.

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust is dedicated to Building India through nutrition by providing sustainable morning nutrition for rural school children belonging to low-income groups. This has had not only an impact on nutrition but also acted as a preventive healthcare program enabling healthy children, improved grades, and attendance of students in schools.

By contributing to this program, you are helping Build an Atmanirbhar Bharat through nutrition. Kindly help make Bharat a developed nation by donating to this program according to your capacity. Let no Child fall behind. Let No Child go to school hungry ever.

RAISING FUNDS FOR

SRI SATHYA SAI ANNAPOORNA TRUST
Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, a charitable trust headquartered in Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur District of Karnataka, India, has been running one of India’s leading morning nutrition programme for rural school children working at the grass roots level in the area of child nutrition security and “hidden hunger” management. The Trust, set up in November 2015, primarily strives to feed nutritious, well-balanced breakfast to all school-going children in rural India and disadvantaged sections of the society. It also seeks to enable holistic development of children by actively engaging with the school authorities and helping them integrate an ethos of academic as well as human excellence. Annapoorna’s coverage of beneficiaries has been growing exponentially over the years.

Today, Annapoorna provides morning nutrition to over 30,00,000 children across 23 states and 4 Union Territories across India. These children attend government schools, located typically in rural hinterland. The morning nutrition is in the form of “SaiSure” nutrition supplement added to the milk, presented to the child every morning, after school prayer at the school premises.

This simple service has catalyzed improvements in enrollments, punctuality, mental focus, academic performance and health profile of the child, besides motivating the teachers who were previously teaching to empty stomachs from the morning.

Along the way, we have been fortunate to have many like minded individuals and institutions, including over 600 volunteers, many government officials across India who provide necessary permissions, and corporates who have contributed through employee-volunteering and other means.

It is our common nation-building objective to “Let no child go to school hungry ever!”.

Working with Society and institutions for the welfare of underprivileged little children and bringing happiness to their faces through the provisioning of nutrition is what I like to do. I believe that society is responsible for uplifting the less privileged children going to government schools. If Bharat is to become a developed nation, the next generation needs to have a healthy body and mind. Morning-fortified nutrition enables the children to focus their minds on learning and improves attendance and learning. I am happy to be of service to mankind by doing this.

A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
