Step Up for India
Do you think knowing English is important for better employability and better pay?
Do you think knowing English is important to bridge the digital divide?
Do you think learning English should start when children are in school?
If you’ve answered “yes” to all of these, then you are thinking like us. It is important for you to also know that the national average for reading simple 3-letter words amongst grade 5 children (in government schools and in private schools) is less than 50%. This means more than half the class can’t read words like “sun”, “pet”, etc. But their textbook has stories and poems with words like “dignity”, “friendship”, etc. How will these kids even pass grade 10?
Step Up For India has multiple proven solutions to help children in government primary schools learn English and build their confidence. We have been able to help more than 1.5 lakhs of students and built capacity of 3,500 teachers over the last 10 years. Our teaching methodologies are recognized by the Regional English Institute and the Govts of Karnataka and Chhattisgarh endorse us. We are geared to help children across all states in India.
Be a part of our national movement while you attain your personal goals. Be a part of the solution that will bring equity, inclusivity, and opportunity irrespective of socioeconomic background. Donate to Step Up For India. It’s time to step up. For India.
