MY APPEAL

After leaving child care institutions, I encountered significant struggles and felt lost, unsure of where to turn. Fortunately, a friend referred me to WeLive, and their support has been invaluable. They've provided me with not just assistance, but also encouragement and a sense of belonging. With their help, I've found meaningful work and secured a stable shelter. The WeLive community feels like family to me.

Now, I am determined to give back and make a positive impact. I aspire to participate in a marathon, not only to bring recognition to WeLive but also to support other girls like me who are part of the WeLive community. My goal is to inspire and uplift others, showing them that with support and determination, anything is possible.

RAISING FUNDS FOR

WeLive Foundation

WeLive Foundation is a 3-year old, Bengaluru-based NGO providing residential and non-residential Bridge Programs for young people (care leavers) who step out of childcare institutions (CCI) at the age of 18 (https://welivefoundation.org.in). We have 2 centres in Bengaluru providing a residential Bridge Program for around 60 young people, who had to leave their orphanages/shelter homes at the age of 18 when they became adults. Care Leavers, who leave care institutions at the age of 18, will benefit from a 3-5 year transition program to ease them into the world with confidence, skills, required mental and physical health.
