Diya Foundation (DIYA) is a Vocational Training Center in Bangalore providing education in life skills and employability skills to adults with intellectual challenges. Diya is a registered charitable Trust that is now celebrating its 25th Silver Jubilee year.
My daughter, Niharika, is a part of Diya's trainees and we've seen her evolve in her independence and be more and more self-dependent. DIYA provides adults like her, facing intellectual challenges and disabilities, with vocational and life skills, making them employment-ready.
Diya currently operates out of rented premises, limiting what they are capable of doing for the betterment of the special needs individuals. This fundraiser is specifically to raise funds so that Diya can move into their own premises. About 1/3rd of the funds have already been raised and set aside - yet more needs to be raised.
By contributing, you will be making a significant contribution to the disability community in India and helping Diya to continue their mission of promoting disability rights and inclusion.
I look forward to your support and thank you in advance for your generous gift for this cause. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or require additional information.
I am an entrepreneur in the field of IT. This is one of my passion projects, more so because I have a daughter with special needs. I first raised funds for Diya Foundation a couple of years back and also participated in the TCS 10K Majja run. Diya is close to my and my family's heart and the passion of people there have ignited the social side of me! So help me meet my fairly ambitious target!
A big thank you to all those who have donated on this page.
